Story
To raise awareness of the 13 young people diagnosed with cancer every day, and in support of Liv Dickson and Daniel Caplan, we five will run a mile on the hour, every hour, for 13 hours. We'll be at the Hutchie track from 7am-8pm on Saturday 16th September so perfectly placed for our hourly mile, as well as cheering on our school community all day!
Hope to see big numbers at the weekend - please come along and consider sponsoring our team to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia and the Doing it for Daniel Foundation.
Thank you very much,
Jenn, Jenny, Veronica, Sarah and Sam

We're taking part in the inaugural Liv for Daniel event this May to raise awareness of childhood cancer, specifically the massive underfunding of research into DIPG brain tumours and Childhood Leukaemia. Only 2% of all cancer research funding in the UK is spent on research fully dedicated towards childhood cancer research. This is wholly unacceptable and must change! WHY? 13 kids will be diagnosed with a form of Childhood Cancer today in the UK, and tomorrow and the next day and the next! Childhood cancer is NOT RARE! Around 4,500 children & young adults in the UK are given the devastating news that they have a form of Childhood Cancer. Childhood cancers are very different to cancers that occur in adults, hence the need for dedicated research. Please give generously and remember that 100% of donations will go towards finding a cure for these terrible diseases - thank you!
