We support young people around the world to confront the planet's most urgent crises
Story
Volunteering
in a third world country and being able to make a difference is something I
have always strived and aspired to do for many years. I have fortunately been accepted onto a Raleigh International Expedition and I will be spending 5 weeks between July and August 2015 volunteering in some of the most deprived areas of Tanzania. Raleigh International is a sustainable development charity and it is their aim to inspire and assist many young international volunteers to work in deprived communities around the world. It is their hope to build a sustainable future for generations to come. Myself and several other venturers will be working on projects involving water and sanitation, environmental protection and assisting to build community resilience through education and other means. On May 30th I will be running the Edinburgh 10k to raise money for Raleigh's Charity as part of my expedition (I must stress this is not to fund my expedition as I will be funding this myself but it is to provide raw materials and assist young people from host countries to take part). I would be more than grateful for any donations as this will help to bring me closer to the overall target. All donations will go straight to Raleigh International and donating through JustGiving is a simple, fast and totally secure way to do so.
Thank you for your support.
