It's not quite 500miles, but Sarah and I have signed up to take part in the Aberdeen Landmark sponsored walk, in aid of CLAN.  Its 13 miles (21km) around 30 Landmarks of Aberdeen on Sunday 22nd September 2013.  Training so far has been going well, well we have been practising keeping hydrated...with gin and tonic...

CLAN is an independent local charity that rely's on donations and fundraising to continue to offer the support and services that they have available for anyone affected by cancer. They are also reaching the wider community with local support services in Stonehaven, Inverurie, Peterhead, Ballater, Elgin, Fraserburgh, Banchory, Orkney and Shetland.  Demand for their services in these areas is increasing, so it is vital that they are able to maintain their presence there.  Your support will help us to continue with the valuable work that they do.

Every £100 raised by means CLAN can offer; 3 of our clients a complementary therapy or counselling session; 1 client a 6 week aqua-detox session;  24 hour support for our CLAN Haven residents.
