When my friend Jo O'Leary told me she was doing a tandem sky dive in memory of her lovely husband Patrick, I mis-heard. I thought she said something about a tandem bike ride. Obviously I immediately offered support....

Patrick was one of the bravest men I have ever met. After being diagnosed with germ cell cancer in 2012, he acted like it was just a case of flu. He was a genuinely remarkable man. Marrying Jo was certainly one of his finest achievements.

On 27th September, Jo and I will be leaping from a plane at a ridiculous height on what would have been Patrick's 49th birthday. For me, not only is this a great way to remember a fantastic man, it's an opportunity to raise funds for Cancer Research.  Jo is fundraising for It's in the Bag, who supported Patrick.
