Katherine's first walk for cancer · 13 October 2017

We put Secondary Breast Cancer first. Because there is no cure yet. This disease spreads to the rest of the body and affects women and men. So finding a cure means a diagnosis is no longer an ultimatum. People will have more days doing what matters most, living the life they love.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Katherine's JustGiving page.

My name is Katherine and when my brother Eddie was 6 months old he was inspired to raise money for charity with a 7 day sponsored sit up by his Monkey Music teacher Lisa Fleming. She is a talented and beautiful young mum, bubbly and friendly and always doing things for others.

But this year Lisa received a massive blow when diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. Incurable but treatable Lisa is fighting. After surgery on her spine she was struggling to walk.

My mummy suggested that as I turned one last week I should learn to walk and hobble around like Lisa to raise money for a charity of Lisa's choice. I took my first steps on Thursday, so if you want to watch my progress over the next 7 days my mummy will post photos and videos on Facebook.

Lisa has told me that raising awareness is more important than raising money so if you read this check yourself, be aware - and don't wait.

Thanks
Katherine
