A group of 25 will undertake one of the most gruelling challenges in the UK by cycling the North Coast 500 trail to raise money for the University of Aberdeen's world-class centre for cancer research.

Story

In May 2018 a team of us from The University of Aberdeen are riding the North Coast 500 to raise money for a new world-class centre for cancer research. Sadly, we all have been touched by cancer in some way and each of us have our own stories. So, please support us.

For those who haven't heard of the North Coast 500, it is a route around the far north of Scotland through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. I didn't know what it was when I agreed to do it (eejit) and I have since learnt that the ride is over 500 miles with 33,000ft uphill. Long distance cycling is new to me. My previous road cycling experience is my 6 mile ride to work, I only have to repeat this about 84 times and cycle up the equivalent of 10 Munros. Piece of cake!! Which, incidentally,  I'll be having at every opportunity.

Please support us on this mad endeavor and give anything that you can afford.

THANK YOU XX
