We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

This 10K run is the start of my training leading up to completing the Edinburgh marathon in May 2022, all being well.  I am once again running for Parkinson's UK and will be for the Edinburgh marathon.

My Dad is living with Parkinson's and has had a very difficult time since early 2020.  Frequent infections have led to prolonged hospital stays and subsequent significant changes to the way he is able to live his life.  It is challenging for him and for all who love him so this is my way of doing something positive which will hopefully help people in a similar situation to Dad.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
