Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running this in memory of Hector Stringer who took his own life in 2011.

Hector's amazing family have set up their own charity (Hector's House) and are actively trying to prevent male suicide, self harm and depression. Trust me when I say that because of my profession, this cause means more to me than most will ever know.

HH have teamed up with Herts Council to create their own Accredited NVQ course all about Health and Wellbeing which is now being delivered in schools!

Those of you that know me, will know that I started running in 2013 to repair my broken leg (it worked - ok!) and have kept going ever since as it's the quickest way to lose weight!! I absolutely hate running but love the effects it has!! I have dabbled in a couple of 5k runs and tend to set myself 5k goals when I go to the gym, but have never even attempted a 10k so this will be a challenge!

I can't think of a more worthy cause to run for, so I hope some of you will come along in July to point and laugh and meet me at the finish line with a huge chocolate bar - I'd really like that!!

Jen x

P.s. I best start training!! You should expect to see many Facebook updates about running, checking in at the gym, photos of me running in fields haha
