Story
1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime. Becka dealt with a possible diagnosis of lung cancer earlier this year, and people close to both of us have faced their own diagnoses of cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Queenscourt Hospice believe no-one should face a life-limiting illness alone. Their aim is to give adults with far advanced, serious and progressive diseases the best possible Specialist Palliative Care free of charge, whilst supporting their families and carers.
Jennie and Becka have chosen to support Queenscourt Hospice as they are a local charity who are providing care and support to people in our area. Due to the impact of Coronavirus they are experiencing a significant loss of income which as a small charity with a BIG reach will hit them hard. Becka is recovering from Covid herself and this challenge will help to further motivate and rehabilitate her after her illness. Jennie is excited to be raising money for such a good cause, a charity close to the hearts of many people in the region. It has also been a bit of a personal goal for Jennie to hike up a mountain rather than just read another book about climbing.
Jennie and Becka are self funding this trip, all of your donations will go directly to Queenscourt Hospice via Just Giving. Thank you so much for your generosity. We have booked a led trek up Snowdon with Adventurous Ewe: https://www.adventurousewe.co.uk/trip/snowdon-by-night-trek/#
