Story
Esra was full of life and had many plans for the future.
She was planning a fashion show. She had invited her mother over to Ireland, and bought her tickets. Esra told her sister she had arranged a spa treat for them when their mother had arrived. She was looking forward to spending her birthday with her mother on 1st March.
While her husband was getting ready for work on the morning of the 23rd February 2011 she told him to keep an eye on their baby while she popped to the shops to pick up a few bits before he took the car for the day so she didn't have to go out again.
Esra never made it back home. This is something she had never done before, totally out of character for her.
She would never leave her little boy, he was her world.
To this day Esra's family has no closure. Her little boy has had to grow up without his mother.
As a mother and sister I find Esra's story heartbreaking. Therefore I have decided to run the Oxford half marathon and raise funds for Missing People, who are tirelessly trying to unite people.
