Story
Jenni's wonderful Grandad passed away at Sue Ryder's Nettlebed hospice in September of last year.
His last months were challenging for our family, but his last days at Nettlebed were beautifully peaceful.
He, and our family received such incredible, loving care from all of the team at Sue Ryder in Nettlebed. They made it possible for Harry to die with dignity, in comfort, in beautiful surroundings and with his granddaughter by his side.
It's incredible to think that this priceless care relies on charity donations. We have chosen to do this challenge for Sue Ryder in Harry's memory and in gratitude for the care we all received so that other families might also benefit from the amazing service this hospice provides.
We have chosen to cover the equivalent distance of Bicester to Szczecin (849 Miles) as Oskar originates from Szczecin and of course it's not possible for him to travel there right now!
Between us we will walk, run and cycle this distance between 1st June and 31st July
Sue Ryder Nurses and healthcare teams are always there for local people who are dying. They are providing incredible emotional support as well as specialist medical care to people who are finding themselves in unimaginably difficult circumstances. We are all facing something we have never faced before which is why Sue Ryder has launched an appeal to make sure that they are still here. I am asking you to give whatever you can afford at this difficult time. Every pound you give could make the difference to whether they can be there or not. It is that simple.
