Story
After completing the Great North Run for the first time last year Ive gone quite crazy and decided Im going to do it all over again.
This year I'm running for Marie Curie Cancer Care which is a charity very close to our hearts as the Marie Curie nurses visited Ed's mum Mary, in her final days. The loving care and attention the nurses gave to Mary was second to none and made her final few months more comfortable and bearable for not only Mary, but Ed and his dad Brian also.
Studies have shown that 65 per cent of us would prefer to die in our own homes but in reality only 25 per cent acheive this.
Every year Marie Curie Nurses make that wish possible for thousands of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses across the UK.
Their nurses now care for around 50 per cent of all cancer patients who die at home. They work through the night or during the day to provide care for patients in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of their own home.
This really is a fantastic charity who are making a real differance to thousands of people around the UK. Any donations would be greatly appreciated not matter how little!! Pennies make pounds!!!
All the details of giving is below!!
