The Saccidananda Ashram (Shantivanam) runs a home for the elderly which provides accommodation for and looks after up to 25 elderly men and women who have no-one else looking after them. The Home has a manager and Fr Pinto from the Ashram keeps an eye on it. BGCT provided funds for the construction of the extension to the home, in which the residents now live, and now provides funds for the home's running costs.
