On 1st May 2018 our friend and colleague Dr Laura Duncan passed away after a short illness. Her unexpected and devastating loss has been felt throughout the Aberdeen hospitals. For three years Laura and I had discussed doing a skydive for charity and being our less than organised selves this never came to fruition.

Having spoken with Laura's family and colleagues, I have decided to do the long-awaited skydive on 15th September 2018 at Strathallan. There are countless people that want Laura's memory to live on at Royal Cornhill Hospital, where she trained and worked. With that in mind, I will be fundraising for a memorial for Laura that will be situated in the gardens of the hospital. The memorial will be for all staff, patients and visitors alike, which would be Laura's wish. Any donations are very much appreciated. Equally, if you would like to witness me falling from the sky at high speed, feel free to come along on the day.
