After taking part in a trek through Cuba last year, I've decided to take part in another gruelling yet incredibly rewarding trek in October through Cambodia to the temples of Angkor Wat.

I'm doing this to raise money for a the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, a charity that is extremely close to my heart.

2 years ago, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and died just over a week after diagnosis. Everything, from start to finish, in just 10 days. He had just turned 60 years old. 

Pancreatic cancer isn't something many people know a lot about, and survival rates are just 3%. This disease could affect absolutely anybody and can happen so quickly and suddenly without warning or reason, which is why it's so important to me to raise awareness & support around pancreatic cancer.

The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is a fantastic charity working and researching into the disease, increasing treatment options and increasing life expectancy. The smallest donation can make such a great difference, which is the reason I've decided to take on another whopping walk, to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity!

This 90km trek through Cambodia will be a massive challenge - and if it's anything like as hot as Cuba, I'll be in big trouble! But the blood, sweat and tears will be so absolutely worth it with fundraising going towards treatment & research - even if it means just one person, one family, doesn't have to go through something like this, it's 100% worth every second.
