We provide nutritious food boxes with veg and fruit for people living in financial and social hardship as a result of the virus. People are struggling because they have lost their jobs, do not receive free school meals or simply cannot get to the shops because they are isolating or caring.

Story

If you know me you know I love a challenge. So despite two small kids and a starting a brand new job recently I thought I'd also do my first sprint triathlon. It's the Hathersage Hilly - something tells me there might be a few hills.... It's 420m swim followed by 21K bike ride followed by a 6k run. Dare I say it, training is going well and I'm enjoying it. But it ain't easy!

I know I have some very generous family and friends so thought my challenge should raise money for those who have no end of them. St Mary’s Community Centre in Sheffield deliver projects which bring people together to address the chronic social problems of poverty and loneliness. These social problems were amplified by COVID. I admire this charity because they make a very real and a very smart difference; pre-COVID their TimeBuilders project gave people who felt on the scrap heap a purpose and role in society eg preparing meals for the community using surplus food.

Thankyou in advance for your generous donation x
