This is going to be an epic challenge for me....Only 12 months ago, my best friend Kate suggested that I should "Go on a run" with her...thinking she was slightly mad, I decided to take up her offer. Literally 5 mins later I was bright red like a beetroot, and thought I was going to keel over with the pain and the worst part is that I only made it the end of the road!!!!!

After much persuasion and perseverance, Kate got me out of the door again and slowly but surely I picked up the pace, increased my distances and actually started to enjoy going for a run! Now, I have two 10k races under my belt and am going to face the next challenge which will be the Half Marathon around the beautiful Royal Parks in October!! 

I feel so lucky to be raising money for the "Railway Children", they are such a fantastic charity who fight for vulnerable children across the world who live alone and at risk on the streets. 

Every year thousands of children across the UK, India and East Africa run away or are forced to leave homes that have become unbearable through poverty, abuse, violence and neglect. They find themselves living on the streets because there is nowhere else to go and no one left to turn to. The problems they face on the streets are often even worse than those they endured at home. Every day the 'Railway Children' fight to change their story.
