The Kiltwalk is Scotland's largest mass participation walking event, with four different locations and different distances to complete on offer there is something for everyone to take part in - even your furry companions.

Story

I was diagnosed with locally advanced bowel cancer in March 2021 at the age of 39.  I was in the low risk category for everything young(ish), slim, fit, didn't eat meat and had no family history of bowel cancer or any type of cancer.  I have just been very unlucky.

Most of 2021 involved lots of treatment (25 sessions of radiotherapy & 6 cycles of chemo) followed by surgery to remove the tumour in Dec 2021.  A lung nodule the doctors had been watching since diagnosis started growing in Summer 2022 so I had a lung resection in Nov 2022.

Thankfully I'm on the mend (and long may it continue!) and keen to raise money and awareness for Bowel Cancer UK.

I'm doing the kiltwalk, along with my fabulous friends who have been such a great support throughout this rollercoaster cancer journey, to fundraise for Bowel Cancer UK and would really appreciate any donations for such a worthy cause.

Thanks in advance
