I am running to raise money for UK children's charity, the NSPCC, and the incredibly valuable work that they do to prevent abuse, help rebuild children's lives and support families. Between 2016 and 2021, they have helped to make more than 6.6 million children safer from abuse.

Despite being a professional writer, I struggle to put into words why the cause is so important to me. All I can say is that the stories about child neglect and abuse break my heart every time I read the news. I want to do something to lend support, and running (hopefully, for a fair few donations!) is one thing that I can do. I hope it helps.
