Chiltern 50 Ultra Challenge 2023 · 23 September 2023 ·
In September 2022, we lost my glorious sister, Ally to metastatic breast cancer at the age of 31. She was diagnosed at 28 whilst breastfeeding her son when he was just a few months old.
She lived her last 3 years, during a pandemic, like she did the rest; with humour, humility and compassion, always putting her son and husband first.
She was a truly incredible person and lived a remarkable and inspiring life. Ally not only spent her time caring for others as a doctor but gave so much support and love to others when they needed it most, whilst having a vibrant social and family life.
I'm doing this challenge with my husband, brother and sister in law near enough on the 1 year anniversary of her death. Ally would think we'd be ridiculous for attempting this, or doing anything in her memory. She did so much for others, now it's our turn to try to continue her incredible legacy.
We miss her with all our hearts.
The Challenge
In September, we are undertaking the Chiltern 50 Ultra Challenge - a 50km walk through the Chiltern Hills.
