Story
Here I am asking for you to sponsor me to run the London Marathon...
So why am I doing this? Truth be told, I am not entirely sure!
One day I woke up and thought I could do more. As you may know, every Wednesday evening you will find me either on the phone or online talking to young people as a ChildLine volunteer counsellor. It really is an privilege to be part of an amazing organisation and to support young people as best I can. Why? Well... some young people really do have it tough. My aim is to make one young person's life just a little bit easier.
"Yeah... alright Jen! We get it... but why are you asking me for money?" - well, as those who Rabble with me know - I am NOT a runner. I wanted to try to raise money for a charity that is close to my heart, where I see the truly incredible work that they do in supporting young people, keeping them safe and working with them to better themselves, while challenging myself to do something that I can certainly guarantee I will not enjoy. The journey for me is longer than 26.2 miles... but that is nothing compared to the hardships that some young people go through.
I would be ever so grateful for your support. Please do donate whatever you can and I will try my best to do the rest...
Jen x
