donating her hair for children having chemotherapy · 24 May 2015

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Jemima wants to have her hair cut and to donate it to Little Princess Trust so that it can be made into real hair wigs for children who are undergoing chemotherapy.

She remembered how important it was to Wew (her grandmother), when she lost her hair during her battle, to look and feel as though she wasn't going to be labelled as 'ill' and stared at.

She decided that she should give her hair to children who were having cancer treatment and had lost their own hair. Dan and I are really proud of her selflessness in this and support her all the way.
