I'm Jemima and I'm 11 years old. I have recently taken up open water swimming and although I am a strong pool swimmer, swimming in a lake is very different, needs a wetsuit and requires a modified technique. So far, I have swum one lap of the lake which is 500m but for the swimathon I am going to try 2 laps making 1000m (if the conditions are perfect, I might even try for 3 laps!!! ).

I am raising money for Follow Your Dreams because my sister, Pippa, has Down Syndrome and this charity supports children like Pippa to do activities, go on special holidays, buys them equipment, arranges special occasions, runs lifeskills sessions and allows them to have lessons in things that will make them happy and help them to achieve their potential and reach for their dreams.
