We provide support and information to anyone affected by cardiomyopathy

Story

At the end of lockdown I will be running a half marathon for Cardiomyopathy UK. It is a charity that is close to my family's hearts. Dad was diagnosed with Sudden Death Syndrome a few years ago, meaning he could die without warning. Cardiomyopathy can affect anyone. It affects the muscle of the of the heart and how it works. Cardiomyopathy is genetic and the charity has helped my family understand the disease, my brother and I regularly go for ECGs and MRIs to check our hearts. I want to raise awareness for the disease. Many people like Dad don't have symptoms. Cardiomyopathy offers people support and information helping people live full and active lives.
