Story

All human endeavour is futile-especially when it involves running a very long way when you don’t have to! I will be taking part in this year’s Brighton Marathon on Sunday April 10th, and am now looking forward to it. With thoughts of my own eldest son and his partner, who are expecting their first child, and my first grandchild, in May, I invite anybody who feels able to make a donation in aid of Maternity Worldwide, www.maternityworldwide.org,  an organisation based in Brighton which works to reduce maternal mortality for women in developing countries. The contrast between outcomes for mothers and their babies in the comfortable west and those in the poorest parts of Africa, where 1 in 16 women will die in pregnancy or childbirth is very great, and every little helps. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
