Fundraising for RMA - The Royal Marines Charity
As some of you may know I lost my father just over two years ago.
Dad was in the Royal Marines in the 1960's, which is how he met my mother while he was stationed in Malta.
He didn't talk much about his time in service, in part because I think he was witness to some horrific things, although you could tell he was immensely proud of his time in the force.
In common with many of the service men and women of today, when my Dad left the Marines he was given little or no support to start his civilian life. This is why instead of gifts for my birthday this year I am asking for donantion's to be made to the Royal Marine Support Hub.
We have an opportunity to build a first of it's kind facility - The Royal Marines Support Hub - next to the home of the Corps, Commando Training Centre RM, Lympstone. I would like you to join me and adopt the Royal Marines Commando Mindset, to be the first to understand, adapt, respond and overcome. Help them to provide a new and dynamic location to support the Royal Marines and their families through life.
