Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. It’s firstly about running for MS Society and fundraising but it’s also about having fun. And it appeals to run round the Royal Parks in London! The Half Marathon is on October 10th with the Start and Finish in Hyde Park and takes in Green Park, St James' Park and Kensington Gardens. There’s a Food and Fitness Festival as well. It’s rated as Britain’s most beautiful city run. So come along and cheer me on!
Jenny was diagnosed with MS 12 years ago, a devastating shock for a 23 year old. The future is uncertain as there is currently no cure. She has had numerous episodes over the years which have temporarily affected her sight and mobility and she suffers daily from the condition. Jenny has got on with life, dedicated to her career in nursing. She cares for children with life limiting conditions and has recently also become a clinical educator. She is a mother to Theo and a wife to Adam (which is probably her biggest job!). She has just got on with life. As she says, what else can you do? You can't lock yourself away in a dark room, you have to get on with whatever life serves you up. And this is true for everyone diagnosed with MS.
That's why the MS Society matters. They are dedicated to their research into MS. As they say "Together we can stop MS. Today multiple sclerosis is relentless, painful and exhausting. But tomorrow we believe we can change that."
