Story
Following the stillbirth of our beloved Son/Nephew, Aditya in Feb'16, we have decided to support charities working to improve and save the lives of babies, infants and children. Thus far, with the kind support of generous donors, in the last 5 years, we have been able to provide extensive funds for SANDS, Tommy's and Children With Cancer and now look to complete another endurance feat to raise money to provide yet more vulnerable children with some happiness.
Please contribute as resources allow and let us collectively make a difference.
We are taking on the 20KM Sunrise Walk Richmond, starting out at 4.30AM on 29th May'22. The walk will take us past famous sights including the River Thames, Hampton Court and the beautiful and wildlife packed Bushy and Richmond Parks. By signing up to take part, we will be helping to ensure that Shooting Star Childrens Hospices can continue to provide vital care and support to hundreds of local families and children who need them more than ever.
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices supports 700 babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families living in London and Surrey with bespoke support available 365 days a year at two purpose build children’s hospices and in their own homes at no cost to the families.
The bespoke support is free of charge to families and includes a named keyworker, a comprehensive range of therapies and support groups for the whole family, specialist nursing care and short breaks at the two hospices (Shooting Star House in Hampton and Christopher’s in Guildford) or in the family home, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement support.
