Story
My Dad had Parkinsons related Dementia before he died 6 years ago, aged 72. My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's aged 72. She calls it the thief. She says it is stealing her memories and stealing her life. It is devastating for her to experience and for us to witness. Despite our best efforts, our strong, independent mum's life is shrinking.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day a cure is found, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
