Story
Sunday 28th Nov:straight to the brandy! well it was -4degrees when we finished, race renamed a challenge and reduced to 5 miles because the roads were lethal. spent most our time regaining contact with frozen parts of my body and trying to keep upright. Running in snow uphill is not my idea of fun, but we finished. Santa - please send some trail shoes for if I ever get caught in snow again! Just to make up for it Im doing another 10 K next sunday so you'll get tour money's worth. Team Ryan were the best supporters ever! Thanks to you all for such great support and generosity. A quick sum up of offline donations makes the total around: £460!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Yes I'm at it again "those cumbrian cold hills loom!", This time I'm raising for Macmillan Cancer Support in rememberence of a young member of our community in Sandford recently lost to cancer and dear friends of mine already lost. Others in Sandford have been affected too.
I know its only 10k! but for me that takes some real training and effort, and lots of Glucosamine & Ibuprofen!! But its your efforts and willingness to donate that make so much difference to the charities I rasie for.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
