Story
Thanks you all so much, between us we have raised almost £2000 for Cancer Research. A massive thanks to our wonderful hairdresser and friend Suzanne Ewing (Connect Hair & Beauty) who donated her time free of charge yesterday to cut Ellen's hair & what a fantastic job she has done.
The hair is being sent to the Princess Charity to make wigs for children dealing with this videos disease.
Once again, thanks so much for the generous donations.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!
We lost Doug in February 2011 following a brave fight against pancreatic cancer and intend to raise as much money as possible to help Cancer Research fight this hideous disease.
On Saturday 25th June 2011, Ellen's 17th birthday, Ellen and Doug's good friend Willie undertook a skydive; in which they jumped from 10000 feet at Strathallan and raised an incredible amount of money, around £15,000.
This February, to commemorate the fifth year of Doug's passing, Ellen has decided to cut her hair off in aid of the Little Princesses Trust; a charity that makes real hair wigs for children that have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. If you know Ellen then you will know that her hair is sort of her "thing" and she has not had it cut short since the was about 7, so whilst this is a slightly less hair-raising fundraiser and involves a little less risk than the last we would be very grateful of your donations! We have used the same JustGiving page which is why the online total is sitting around £8,000.
If you are able to donate and pay tax, please remember to tick the gift aid box allowing the charity to claim the tax back.
Thank you very much,
Jean
