Story

As a former administrator for the Oriental Ceramic Society and co-author of Chinese Blue & White Ceramics (1978), organiser of numerous exhibitions especially at SOAS' Brunei Gallery, pots were a passion for my mother.

The British Museum and its support for the Sir Percival David collection of blue and white ceramics represented one of the most important parts of my mother's career in ceramics.  She loved volunteering at the BM, and as a specialist, researching questions of pot provenance for owners and museum visitors and sharing her passion for ceramics with the people who worked there.
