We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Over the last eight years  as a family we have seen  a kind,  loving, intelligent and witty husband and dad dissappear slowly but inexorably. Yet his sudden death was a shock, we miss him still.

Bernie suffered from Alzheimers. The Alzheimer's Society is dedicated to defeating dementia through research. The society programme funds research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia to improve treatment for people today and to search for a cure for tomorrow.

I am training to take part in  a 100km challenge from London to Brighton. Starting in the early hours of Saturday 12th May and walking until I see the coast sometime on Sunday! It will certainly be a major challenge for me and definitive test of my endurance and determination. Lets hope I can do it, I will give it my best shot!

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
