We offer support, advice and information to UK families affected by retinoblastoma

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running the Taunton 10K to raise money for the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust which is currently supporting my cousin and his partner whose son Jack was recently diagnosed with retinoblastoma (that's cancer to you and me).

Jack is only a year old. He is a gorgeous and very brave little boy who having had his eye removed is now undergoing chemotherapy. Despite the chemo making him feel very poorly at times, he still manages to smile and bring a great deal of joy to his family round him. They could not be more proud.

CHECT are a UK charitiy for families and individuals affected by retinoblastoma. They offer support, fund research and raise awareness.

Having recently had a son of my own, I can't imagine how difficult it must be, which is why I'm hoping to raise money for the Children's Eye Cancer Trust by circumnavigating Taunton in someting-faster-than-a-walk via the infamous Taunton 10K.

Running following giving birth is not without many potentially embarrassing hazards... so I'm hoping you'll be generous in your sponsorship!
