Story

I’m taking part in the Grand Depart Classic again!

The 2022 route will begin in the city of Korsør, 40km west of Copenhagen, which is in the middle of the national park Skjoldungernes Land. Riders will travel northwest along the beautiful fjords Inderbredning, Holbæk Fjord and Lammefjord, following the coastline in the northwestern part of Zealand.

After Veddinge Bakker, the route goes south along the coastline, and after 183km, reaches the town of Korsør where our finish line will be, at the foot of the Great Belt Fixed Link bridge. The full Tour de France stage will travel a further 16km over the bridge and finish at Nyborg, however it's not open to cyclists so our ride will finish a little earlier in Korsør.

I’ve signed up to this to push my limits, in order to save men’s lives, but I need your help. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it.

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Your donation will make an impact, so please see this as your chance to do something amazing. It could be the best thing you do today.

Thank you.
