Story
Thank you for visiting my page. I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
In the last 6 months I have had the pleasure of meeting one of the nicest families and occasionally looking after their 3 amazing children. In 2018, their eldest daughter Amelie was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma Cancer in her left leg at only 5 years old. Her diagnosis was difficult due to it being such a rare type of cancer. By the time she was diagnosed her cancer had spread to both her lungs. She endured 15 rounds of chemotherapy but the tumour had caused so much damage, the doctors had no choice but to amputate her left leg above the knee. This has not stopped her! Within weeks of her operation she had bounced back and she is now running around, playing sports and even skiing using a prosthetic leg. She is such an inspiration. I have chosen this charity to support this family and any other families that have to go through this difficult time.
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this and raise awareness. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.Thank you for your support.
