Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow, the spongy center of bones where our blood cells are formed. The disease develops when blood cells produced in the bone marrow grow out of control.
Survival rates are thankfully on the up, but only because of the valuable work of charities such as Leukemia and Lymphoma Research. Some of you are aware that I have a very close family member who is one of those very lucky individuals to have benefitted directly from this research. I have decided to run the Greater Manchester Marathon on the 29th of April 2012 to raise money for this charity as a thank you to them and to raise their profile a little.
Times are tough, but it is when we pull together and support charities that we overcome incredible odds and can say we were apart of something amazing. So please dig deep and help me raise £200 for the incredible work that Leukemia and Lymphoma Research does.
