Story
On Thursday 27th August 2020, our world was turned upside down when our Jay was cruelly taken from us. Jay was killed in collision with a car, on his beloved motorbike.
We understand the stigma around motorcyclists, Jay was a responsible rider and has had a passion for riding since the age of 7 years old.
Therefore we would like to raise money for Brake. Brake is a national charity working to prevent road death and injury and support those bereaved and injured in road crashes.
Jay was only 33 years old when he left us, he won’t ever reach his 34th birthday, so before the 18th January 2021 arrives, we have challenged ourselves to complete 33 various challenges, based on the number 33. The challenges will be silly, things we can get his children involved in and things we can try to have fun with. And some that might be a struggle!! The 33rd event will be a balloon release on Jay’s birthday, that we invite anyone who knew and loved him to come along to, raise a glass and wish him a happy birthday.
As a family, we are still broken, losing Jay will never get any easier and as each day goes by without him, we miss him more and more.
I need a focus, I need to do something to help this amazing charity and I need to raise awareness so that families like ours don’t have to suffer the pain we are feeling every day.
Please help us by donating, every little helps. If you can’t, please please share our story.
This is for you Jay, we love ya xxxxx
(Evidence of every challenge will be uploaded onto Facebook, so something for you all to laugh at too. My sister is in ridiculously good shape and I am ridiculously unfit, so this could be interesting!)
