My name is Jay Paleja. I am 18 years old.

I have decided to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in aid of St. Michael's Hospice. I will be doing the climb in June 2009. I am planning on doing the Machame route, which is technically challenging but will give better acclimatization. I expect the climb to take a minimum of 7 days.

St Michael's Hospice is a local Hastings charity that provides care for those with life-limiting illness and support for their family. This is a charity that provides excellent services to the Hastings community.

St Michael's Hospice has currently got financial difficulties, so is need of funding.

I have been preparing for my climb by exercising. I hope that my expedition to Svalbard, near the North Pole has also prepared me for my forthcoming climb.
