In January 2015 I lost my soulmate too soon.  I lost a special husband and dad to Scott and Daisy, we miss him so much.  Graham was so kind, patient, generous and loving and he was loved by so many. 

The end came very suddenly when Graham lost his fight to lung cancer.  During the twelve months from diagnosis to losing him, he had intense treatment delivered by the most amazing Oncologist and team at Velindre and they did their utmost to cure Graham.

Losing a special person at any time is hard but losing them too soon is even more difficult.  I am hoping that my contribution can help even just one family avoid losing a special person to them too soon. 

I feel ready to give something back. For those who know me, they will realise I am taking myself completely out of my comfort zone, but my determination is being driven by my experience, first hand, of the amazing work that goes on at Velindre.

I will reach Base Camp on Graham's 55th Birthday.  I'm sure he would be proud of me (or think I've gone mad!!)
