Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Sean: I first learnt about Parkinson's when my Dad, Dermot was diagnosed with the condition when he was in his late 70s. "The lights are on but nobody's home" is the best way of describing how Dad increasingly appeared to everyone. The process of establishing the right type and level of medication to counter the effects of PD was tortuous at times, but once the balance was right it was like having my old Dad back. The support the PDS gives in educating and supporting families like ours makes a real difference. Dad died last year at the grand age of 80. I'm grateful for the opportunity to run the London Marathon this year in his memory and to say thanks to the PDS.
Jayne: A great cause that I'm very pleased to be supporting.
I'm also relieved to be having Sean as my 'Mr Motivator' throughout the 26.2 miles! On the way we'll be thinking about all our sponsors (sitting back enjoying a cuppa or something, whilst we do our bit in pink) as well as those not lucky enough to be able to join the race - you'll be there in spirit!!
Please help us raise as much as possible for a important cause.
