Story
Well.... After talking about it for so long I have finally taken the plunge and will be running a MARATHON !!!!! .... 26.2 miles sounds a really long way....
The race day is Sunday 12th September 2010. As its my first Marathon I have deicided to raise money for charity....
I have decided to continue to raise money for The Sheffield Childrens Hospital as their care for Noah in 2009 was fantastic. Noah was admitted to the Sheffield Childrens Hospital last year with a rash and swelling of his joints-The staff couldn't have acted quicker or more professionally- they started treating him for Meningicoccle Sceptecemia ( not sure if thats spelt right !)....fortunately he did not have that... it turned out that Noah had a rare disease called Henoch Schonlein Purpura ( HSP) which is a disease of the immune system. Noah was well looked after by the hospital staff and has been going to hospital for check ups until April when he was discharged :-)
I will be running the Marathon for them and with Noah in mind to keep me motivated when I hit 'the wall' !!
