We are creating a world without limits to support people affected by epilepsy.

Story

People who know me will know that I absolutely despise running and can barely run 100 m without moaning that my body hurts so this is one massive challenge for me haha!

Epilepsy action is a charity close to my heart as some of you may or may not know that I actually suffer with the condition myself. Epilepsy can have a severe impact on a persons livelihood for example stop them from driving, stop them from doing day to day tasks that others don't even think about and socialising. I am lucky now to say that mine is under control and I can do all the above but there are 600,000 other people in the UK alone who's lives are affected by the physical condition.

Epilepsy is also still misunderstood and in my past experience when I've told people they get a bit worried because they don't know how to deal with seizures. That's where epilepsy action come in as they are a community of people committed to a better life for everyone affected by epilepsy. They want high quality, accessible epilepsy healthcare services, so that people with epilepsy have the support they need to manage their condition. Also wider awareness and understanding of epilepsy, so that people living with the condition are treated with fairness and respect.

Thank you for taking your time to read why I'm going to be doing the great north run in 2018 and any and every donation is very much appreciated 💜
