Story
Team MHA are taking on a challenging five day bike ride, around 375 miles stopping at MHA communities along the route. Beginning at their very first care home, Ryelands in Surrey, travelling through the picturesque Cotswolds and stunning Peak District National Park before crossing the finish line at their retirement living community, Moor Allerton in Leeds. MHA rely on donations and fundraising in order to provide our life-enhancing services, chaplaincy, music therapy and our community groups. All donations to MHA are invested into the services we provide.
As someone that hasn't done any fundraising/charity events in the past but always wanted to, I jumped at the chance to take part in this ride. Ever since I was a young lad, I have been fascinated in the Tour De France. I recall riding around the garden in my 'yellow jersey' and following the progress of Chris Boardman!
Those that know me will be aware that signing up for this is a little left-field, but I am loving the training and the challenge excites me.
I am proud to be representing such a worthy cause and I know that MHA do so much fantastic work for the elderly community. The homes are run incredibly well and the employees and volunteers are passionate about helping others 'live later life well'.
Please help me raise money for this worthwhile event. Any donation received will be appreciated more than you know.
Thanks for reading.
