We are a team of nurses working within Crosshouse Hospital Ward 4A. The other team members and I have just began running throughout the lockdown so we are quite new to this although loving it and we decided to run a 10km at the end of May for charity. We have chosen ‘CHILDREN FIRST’ as at this moment in time young children suffering abuse quietly or living in domestic abuse households have no outreach such as school to free their minds and escape to. As a local charity we feel that fundraising will be beneficial to all families affected by the COVID19 outbreak; many of which are struggling mentally, financially and there are increasing risks to children at home.
