Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 15th May, myself and Jay will be running the Great Manchester 10k in aid of East Cheshire Hospice.
We've chosen to run for East Cheshire Hospice again this year in memory of Jays' Mum Sue who passed away almost 3 years ago after a short battle with cervical cancer. As you can imagine, it was an extremely hard time for all the family but the one thing that we all remember is how amazing the Hospice were - not only to Sue as a patient but to all of us.
When I found out that the hospice was funded primarily on charitable donations, we decided to do everything we could to help to ensure that anyone who is going through similar times with loved ones, gets the care, attention and help that was offered to Sue
I have never met a group of people like the nurses at the hospice. The empathy, kindness and warmth they showed to us all as a family will never be forgotten. Without the support of the nurses and other staff at the Hospice, I don't know how we would have got through everything and its now our aim to raise as much money as possible so that other people (patients and their families) in the same situation, have the opportunity to be treated in the same way.
Please dig deep and sponsor us as much as possible, it is such an amazing charity, we want to be able to help them as much as possible.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks
Becca and Jay
