Story
This charity used to be called the Lymphoma Association and was a life saver for my parents and I when I was 21 and had Hodgkin’s Disease. They were not a huge charity then and are not now but supporting them helps so many young people and their families when someone gets a diagnosis that turns everyone’s life upside down.
The majority of people who get lymphoma are under 30; this charity offers practical advice and the chance for the patient or family to talk to someone who has been through the same thing.
I’m going to do 27 minutes of cycling or running every day in Sept to try and raise some money. I’m also going to probably do 27 minutes of drinking each night in a September to recover!
Blurb from the charity:
Every 27 minutes, a friend or loved one is diagnosed with lymphoma - it's the most common blood cancer and the 5th most common cancer in the UK. 27 in 27 is an easy way to help Lymphoma Action this September so they can provide much needed support to people affected by lymphoma. Together we can make sure that no one faces this life changing diagnosis alone.
