Story
2020 has been a pretty mad year for all of us. During the first lockdown I started my own property and transport business so I've been working pretty much right through the pandemic, as has my wife, who works in Dementia Care, my son and youngest daughter have also been out working and my eldest daughter working from home. As the rules relaxed, my wife and I have been able to help our eldest daughter by minding our grandson in between work. We've always been a busy but close family and had navigated our way through this pandemic without incident, so far..........
Back in September, I found myself in A&E in a lot of pain following two unpleasant episodes of passing blood etc. A few days later I had a telephone consultation with my GP who arranged for a series of tests including colonoscopy and endoscopy. It was during the colonoscopy that we discovered the growth in my upper colon. A week later I went for a CT Scan and then today I met with my Consultant and Nurse Practitioner who confirmed it was what we already knew it was.
I have a date of 16th Dec 2020 for surgery, I will need to shave my beard off for this, so decided to use that as a way to try and raise money to help Bowel Cancer UK and to stay positive.
Please donate if you can, any amount will be greatly appreciated.
