Thursday 26th of September - Monday 30th of September 2013Ever wanted to do some thing different, sick of the golf holiday to the Costa's, getting tired of the 18 to 30 hell hole? Want to drive an old car across Europe, stopping in different locations every night? Then you too can become a Screwballer.Day 1, Dover (England) - La Rochelle (France) 430 miles to La Rochelle on the Atlantic coast, on the route there are lots of sights and places to visit including many medieval towns and Le mans. La Rochelle is an historic seaport giving acces to the Bay of Biscay and the Atlantic ocean, there is lots to see from the medieval upto modern history including WW2 submarine pens. It is a university city and has a bustling night life. Day 2, La Rochelle (France) - San Sebastian (Spain) 260 miles of southern France to cover, around the Bay of Biscay and into the Pyrenees to San Sebastion in the Basque country. As with all the Basque towns and cities San Sebastion has a fantastic night life, it has everything from nightclubs to jazz bars and just about everything inbetween. Day 3, San Sebastian (Spain) - Sete (France) 350 Miles to Sete our evenings destination on the French rivera, through the Pyrenees and lunch in Andora? The Pyrenees rivals the Swiss alps for its twists and turns. Day 4, Sete (France) - Bourges (France) 330 miles north from Sete to Bourges, over the Milau bridge and then through the heart of France, once there its the barbeque and prize giving party. Day 5, Bourges (France) - Calais (France) The homeward leg 340 miles and a spot of lunch in Paris? or into Luxembourg to fill up on cigarettes and alcohol. |
