My experiences at the College of the Holy Cross, particularly the Spring Break Immersion Program, have led me to develop a deeper understanding of the necessity for justice, equity, and community in the world. I was driven to join JVC out of a desire to immerse myself in a community and create lasting relationships. In working at Friendship Park, I hope to do what I can to make Sacramento a more just community. In addition, I hope to inspire those around me and my friends and family to strive to help their own communities. After JVC I plan to continue work in the non profit sector and am hoping to gain the necessary skills, experience, and relationships to make an impact on every community I find myself in.
